Yesterday was not the best start to the week after spring break. I had a Abdominal CT Scan which meant no breakfast, and brace yourself for this- NO COFFEE- in the morning. The no coffee part seems it should be in the Geneva Convention or something. The first thing I did when I got home and eat and of course drink some coffee.
The scan only took about 15 to 20 minutes, but it hit home how serious something like that could be. My life has been one of living with chronic illness for 30 years, surviving various traumas, but also adventures in serving Jesus. One realization that has been with me for many years is the truth of 2 Corinthians 1:
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
God comforts me so in turn I may comfort others. God comforts us so we in turn my comfort others. God wants the love he shows us to be shared.
Sometimes God wakes me up with a song in my spirit. This morning he woke me up with the Lauren Daigle song-Hold Onto To Me. He was letting me know that he has me. I do wish it would happen later in the morning not 3:30am. 🙂
So I felt led to share what Jesus said in John 10 and also Lauren Daigle’s song because there is no situation, no problem, no circumstance that can take us from the hand of Jesus.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
