Life has not been ‘normal’ for three months now. One area affected has been Immigration and Citizenship applicants. Immigration halted interviews for U.S. Citizenship in late March due to the virus.
In the Citizenship class I teach, I have some students who have been waiting for an interview. One of them received a letter two days before his interview in late March that the appointment would be postponed.

He received a letter last week informing him that he has a new appointment time on June 22nd. He is ready for it and I know that on June 22nd we will have a new citizen.
That is just one of the signs of ‘normal’ slowly returning.
We have had our class using Zoom since early April. While it has been good we could continue the class, it is not the same as being in the classroom in person. I found out last week that my Citizenship class can return to the building in July.
A few other examples of ‘normal’ slowly returning are my favorite hamburger place reopened this past week, we can get haircuts now- I need one- and schools are discussing being in the building in the fall.
The sign I am most excited about is that my home church will announce Tuesday evening the plan to return worship services and other ministries to being live in the building. It will be wonderful to see friends in person again.
What signs or return to ‘normal’ are you excited about?
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
I would love to return on the site as a Chaplain, doing Pastoral Care over the phone is still good however I do long to be able to speak with someone in person, and to gently touch their hand to remind them how much God loves them simply because they are his child.
In person is so meaningful
Yes it does
That’s good that the normal for you is coming around.
The normal for me was the complete opposite from what it is now. Before, I was always doing something. Never had time to slow down and breathe. I was in my last year of highschool, I would go to work and teach at my job, get home at 7, do homework, find something to eat, and go to sleep again. I would be worn out from each now. My days now are just about 100% empty.
I promise that you won’t be bored once you move to WI & start college.
Maybe she needs more homework during the summer 🤗
That’s just mean!
😂😂😂
Maybe you need more homework 😂
You forgot… by the way…. it’s Sunday!
😂😂😂
That’s amazing you can laugh. I’m freaking out.
Am happy for you.
The normal for me is being able to go back to church. The online worship has been good but the experience of the worship and fellowship in the sanctuary is so much different. Am being grateful and taking it one day at a time
I so understand. Being able to worship together in person and talk with friends is special
Indeed
For me, I look forward to visiting folks in their homes and hospitals again. I praise God that His places of worship are re-opening and pray that the faithful will take the lessons learned from the past 90 days into their respective ministry fields outside of those walls.
Have a blessed week!
Pastor Chuck
I have been reminded over & over that the church made up of people & not a bunch of buildings.
Visiting people is something I have missed too
Hmm …..Normal…
The state I live in is on lockdown until 30th. So not yet out here. But honestly, what’s ‘Normal’ ? I am not really sure about what is normal anymore….🙃🙃🙃🙃😉🤔🤔🤔
Whatever normal is, Jesus is with you always little sister and he loves you 🤗😇🐼🤗😇🐼🤗😇🐼
That’s the best part….
🤗🐼🎀💐🤗🐼💐🎀🤗🐼💐🤗
Jesus loves you too brother Matt
Amen 🐼😇🤗🐼😇🤗❤️❤️❤️
I look forward to returning to my role of jail chaplain.
Important work
It’s not something I ever thought I would be doing but when God called me to it about 2 1/2 years ago & I bave never looked back. I ❤ my time “behind bars”

I am excited that our mall will be reopening soon, (praise the Lord). I’ve been going through withdrawal. 😂😂 I went to church for the first time today and I didn’t realize until then how very much I missed it. My soul was happy 😃
Is your husband excited for the mall to open? 😂😂😂
No he isn’t 😁😁😁 but that’s okay, there’s three of us and one of him 😁😁😁
Poor guy lol
Nice!! Happy for you!!
Our youth group transitioned from zoom to the church on Wednesday…I’m so thankful because I am so awkward when it comes to zoom!!
Glad they are back 🤗
I missed a week from your blog so I have quite a lot to catch up on. I am glad to know that things are getting back to normal in your community. Being at church in the building with the brethren is great. When you see your brethren you can’t help giving them a hug. This social distance thing is not going to work.
I look forward too seeing many friends there 🙂
In my place ( I am from Kerala, a state in India ) we are yet to return to normalcy. Though the government has given some relaxations as far as the lock down is concerned, we feel it will take time. Kerala has fought corona virus efficiently but in the last few weeks, there has been a surge as a large population of Keralites working in different parts of the globe have returned. Hope, things will be better soon….God bless
I hope they get better soon too
Okay, this is going to sound ridiculous, but the thing I am most excited about returning to normal is me. My prayer has been to learn to be content in all circumstances. And to be joyful about the adventure again. I feel like I am starting to turn over that new leaf. Instead of wanting things around me to change so much I need to be changed. ☺
That does not sound ridiculous little sister 🙂
Well, the first part sounded funny to me. ☺ Thank you.
Yay!. Excited to hear the good news bro. 💃
I miss physical church gatherings too. We haven’t resumed to that over here just yet. But soon.
Step by step
Yes bro. 🙂
Gyms being aloud to reopen, public transport being less empty being able to walk into mcdonalds…
The little things in life mean more now
