Wow Sunday morning at church was wonderful. It started with my Sunday group as we practiced English and talked about what Jesus said in John chapter 4 about the worshippers God is seeking- those who worship in spirit and truth. Then we went to worship service and all seven of them joined me for worship. That was followed by lunch with my Brazilian friends- BURGERS.

What made it even better was two interactions I had with two Americans I know at church. They came up to me to thank me for my books and talk about what the books mean to them. That was so encouraging to know that something I felt the Lord wanted me to write helped them.

But then it was time for a humbling experience. My bad knee decided to give me a jolt of pain, which happens from time to time, and down I went. It was frustrating. But that is life with chronic illness. This time it happened in church and people saw it. UGH.

But lunch with my Brazilian friends and time at the coffee shop helped me shake that off. Even more so comments from my fellow bloggers/little sisters in Jesus were so encouraging.

Bridget of bridgetathomas.com commented:

“I finished reading “Jesus Understands Trauma.” It was very encouraging to see Biblical examples of why Jesus understands our pain. Thank you for putting your story together and sharing it with the world.”

and Karla of flannelwithfaith.com commented:

“May you stay blessed and well. I have a busy week—and your book is by my side!”

To know people are reading my book and feel blessed is such a wonderful feeling. It is my prayer each day that Jesus bless and draw people to him through it.

So it was a wonderful Sunday even though there was that thud at church.

By the way, no innocent bystanders were injured by my thud. 🙂

How was your Sunday?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. By the stripes of Jesus, your knee is healed. He took all the disjointed joints on his body and the stripes so we can be healed. Blessings!

  2. I’m sure that happened for a reason. Perhaps, so others could be blessings to you. I am sorry, though.

  7. Catching up to your Sunday. God surrounds you with others who care about you. I’m planning to take your book with me. I will have time to devote to it, along with some Bible study. After over a year of posts on my blog, I will let it take a breather.

    1. May be refreshed by your time in big sky country
