It’s been a long time since I last wrote on this blog. So long that I am not sure if anyone tracks with it still or not. The past year has been one of those years that no one wishes to go through, but we learn from.

Long story short, I found out I have Celiacs Disease. One of the symptoms is ‘foggy brain’. In other words, I just didn’t have the mental energy to write on top of teaching, ministry, and all of the visits to doctors to find out what was wrong.

Last November one of the pastors at church preached about how we want to be a creative church. It felt like God was reawakening the creative aspects of ministry in me. I had been involved in drama ministry years ago before I got into ministry among internationals both here and abroad. I had shut down the creative. I had been involved with drama ministry by acting, writing, and a little directing. That seemed to be dead in my life. Writing in this blog also seemed to go by the wayside. But that morning in November, the alarm clock woke me up so to speak.

At my home church, a drama piece I wrote was performed. In the piece, the angel Gabriel comes to visit the nativity scene and shares his thoughts. It was a blessing to direct it and help someone else develop their ability. Script ideas kept coming to me and recently ideas for short stories are coming to me. Today I started a blog Encounters with the Ancients that will be short fictional stories about people in our “modern life” having encounters with brothers and sisters in Christ from ancient times. encounterswiththeancients.com

I will be back to writing in jesusluvsall too
