Yesterday I visited a Yazidi family to have lunch with them. We had a good time getting to know each other and of course had some delicious food. As I was preparing to leave and go home, a young woman came up to the husband/father of the family who was outside. She was lost. I came out and talked with her.

She had been drinking with her sister and friends and they got separated. I let her use my cell phone to make some calls. She called her parents who live three hours away. I spoke with her father to let him know the address to call someone to come get her. We sat for about 45 minutes until her sister walked up with their friends. They were only ten blocks away and walked instead of driving probably due to having been drinking.
She told me for some reason she felt safe to come up to the house and talk with us. I shared with her that I am in ministry and that Jesus had helped her to come to the house. Because she had been drinking, I kept it simple about how Jesus loves her.
After she left, I drove home and while driving I thought about how we are all lost and stumbling around before we come to know Jesus. People lose their way at times even after coming to know Jesus.
When we lose our way in life, Jesus hasn’t gone anywhere. He is still with us. If we feel lost and confused, Jesus is there with us. If we are not sure what step to take, he is there. In John 14 Jesus said:
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
If we don’t know which way to go in life, Jesus is the way. We can go to him in prayer.
If we are confused, Jesus is the truth. We can go to him.
This morning I prayed for the young woman from yesterday for the Lord to use the simple messages I shared with her yesterday. My prayer is also that this post encourages my readers to look to Jesus.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
