We had another snowy day here and with the freezing drizzle the night before and then the snow, it meant a snow day for all schools. As a teacher that meant an unplanned day off 🙂

I managed to go outside for a little while to clean the ice off my car windows, but that was it for my outdoor endeavors. My indoor endeavors were relaxing. Morning was time to listen to my favorite worship music, read, and catch up with people online.

As part of my morning yesterday, I read a post by a new blogger Vanessa Lynn. It was a great post about starting the day with God. When I read it, I felt like getting going, but with the snow there was nowhere to go 🙂 Her post was Feast Your Eyes on the Day Ahead. You can check it out by clicking on the title. I think women will particularly enjoy following Vanessa because she starts off each blog by calling her readers gorgeous. Being an old guy I kind of ignore being called gorgeous 🙂  Her blog is braveblessedandbeautiful.wordpress.com.

I want to spotlight new bloggers this year, It might be once a week or every other week. I am not sure yet. I want to do it in a meaningful way beyond the usual blog networking activities. It is one of the goals I set for my blog for this year.

Well today it is time for me to be brave and blessed and go teach, brave to go out in the cold snowy day and blessed to see my students. The beautiful part? Well that never applied to me 🙂 .

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Good to know that you enjoyed your day. I don’t envy you the snow☺. But, I know the day off was well needed. I will check out the new blogger. You have a gracious heart in sharing other blogs. Have a blessed day.

    1. Thank you my sister 🙂 Maybe you should visit someplace that has snow in the future 🙂

      1. Yes I will one day.☺

      2. Then you can make a snowman 🙂

  2. Wait a minute… do schools close because of snow? We always had tonnes of snow throughout winter and yet we had to make it to school somehow anyway, no excuses! 😮

    1. Yes they close sometimes but usually because snows 16 centimeters or more but we had two cm of ice first

      1. I’m pretty sure we had much more than that on most days! 😀 It’s just extremely rare for us to be granted extra days off, whether it’s work, school, something else – no one cares how you’re going to make it, they just expect that you do!

      2. We have it easier here lol
