Today is a rare double post day for me. I posted about Mother’s Day earlier because moms are so awesome. 🙂

As someone living with Fibromyalgia, I also want to recognize that today is National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.

I like the saying that not all disabilities are visible. The pain and fatigue I live with each day makes life difficult. Just yesterday I woke up at 5 am because I couldn’t sleep well. Since I had nothing scheduled, I went back to sleep from 7 to 12:30. I probably could have slept more.

There is no cure for Fibromyalgia and there is no fully effective medication to treat the symptoms.A few medications provide some help for some people, but not for others. It is more a matter of trying to manage and cope.

I have mornings that I don’t think I can make it through the day, but I give the day to Jesus in prayer and ask him to carry me through the day. Some of those days have been special in the sense of seeing what Jesus does, but I would still prefer not to live with Fibro and would not wish it on anyone.

So I want to give a shout out to my fellow Fibro warriors and anyone living with a chronic illness. Sometimes we can feel alone as we live with a chronic illness. Those are the days I try to spend with Jesus.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. God is your strength. There are many things we don’t understand in this world.

  2. I send a hug Matt and pray that all your days become good healthy days. 🌺 🌻

I am going to be 46 years old on the 28th of this month! I have been suffering since I was about 8 years old. Ut started in my knees they would hurt so bad by mid day the only way to describe it is to say it feels like my knees are on fire on the inside of my knees and they swell up 3times the normal size!! Sadly you are 100% right there is no cure for fibromyalgia!! The worst part is that there are lots of doctors out there that still don’t believe its even a thing!! I was diagnosed in my earlier 20’s and bounced back and forthe with no medical help at all until I found the most amazing doctor in the world!! His name is Dr Timothy Fignar he is a Connecticut doctor. He is so amazing, when I find new information about something that might help my fibromyalgia I send him the information and he researches it and let’s me know if it worth trying or its not. I recently found a CBD patch and sent him the him all the information and he got back to me within 2 days!! I just found information about red light therapy and near infrared light saunas. I sent him all the information I could find on it and he got back to me in 3 days saying it seems like its all worth a try,as far as the light therapy try only one at a time so if it works I know which one works the best for me, and he is still doing more research on the light thetapy information I sent him!! I really wish everyone with any chronic pain could go to my doctor he and his staff are the glue that keeps me from falling apart and giving up!!
