It was about a year ago that I felt led to start sharing about my experience of living with chronic illness and the resulting depression/anxiety because of chronic illness. I wasn’t sure what would happen or how it would be received. But I knew God wanted me to share in hopes of helping others along the lines of what Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 1:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
I will never forget how the pastors at church responded when I shared with them about my struggle with depression.anxiety. The pastor who I am accountable to said, :It’s medical Matt, You don’t need to resign your ministry.”
My desire is to continue to touch lives with the love of Jesus by continuing to share my experience with chronic illness and depression.anxiety. I have felt so blessed that not only did I not lose followers on my blog, but actually my blog has grown considerably since I started to share. I am so thankful for all those who follow my blog, comment, and like my posts. It encourages me to continue to share.
I want to share a video with you today by a beautiful young lady who shared the positives of living with chronic illness. I won’t tell you what she said. I don’t want to spoil it for you. I hope her video blesses you like it did me.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
