But I wasn’t given the spirit of fear
I was given the power of love
Everything I’ve been fighting against

I love these lyrics in the song Fearless by Jasmine Murray. When we face difficulties, we can lift them up to Jesus. God has not given us a spirit of fear to be slaves to it. As Romans 8 says:

“The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 

God wants us to come to him with everything. Every problem, every challenge, every obstacle, God wants us to lift up them to him.He has given us the power of his love. As 1 John 4 says:

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love”.

God loves us. so we can come to him in prayer with anything we face being confident in his love and ability.

As 1 Peter 5 says:

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Dear reader whatever you are facing today, God loves you and wants you to give it to him in prayer.
