In this time of so much turmoil in the world because of the global pandemic, economic woes, and in the U.S. protests, needed protests, because of racial injustice, a person could feel a loss of hope.
What hope can we find in? Everything in this life is temporary. In the Book of Job, in Job 19, in the bible, Job made a statement:
“I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.”
Job had lost everything. He had lost his family, his welfare, his friends, EVERYTHING. In the end God blessed him greatly, but in the midst of loss is when Job said- My Redeemer lives.
Ultimately our only real hope in life and in death is that Jesus lives. He defeated death and sits on his throne in heaven. He will share heaven with anyone who will receive him.
Jesus has all power and we can look to him for help in any situation. Yes, he wants to help us in this life. But it is in his timing. We need to look to him so we do not lose heart.
