Monday afternoon I stopped by the school where my morning class meets. I needed to get a few things from the classroom just in case we have another shutdown before my class starts in the building and it has to start via Zoom.

It was great to chat with some of the teachers, 6 feet apart and wearing masks or course, and catch up with each other. The last time I had actually been in the building was early March.

5 months later and even though life is still at a snail pace in some ways, as I look back, it is amazing to think about what has transpired.

I suggested to my Life Group that we study through John in the Bible and offered to share my notes with them. It ended up being me leading the group every week. Then after sharing my notes with my pastor, he suggested I do a Discipleship Training Group. That led to writing material about using the Bible for reaching out to others.

The shutdown caused me to gain some new skills such as hosting classes in Zoom, and using Google Classroom, Forms etc.

So while life is still moving slowly, Jesus has worked in my life to bring new opportunities and gain new skills.

If you look back over the past five months, are there any positives for you?

By the way I am just glad I remembered to wear shoes Monday 🙂

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Good you remembered your shoes 😊

  2. I’m glad that you are seeing the positives, dad! 😀 I am a proud daughter. How are you feeling today?

    1. I am ok. How are you sweet daughter?

      1. Today I am tired. Noisy animals kept me awake. Our neigbor’s Dog was crying and then one of our cats started screaming. And then the night before I couldn’t get to sleep for two hours because I had a headache. I tried to get some more sleep this morning, but my body said, nope! Hopefully tonight will be a better night.

      2. Maybe you should drink chamomile tea tonight and have your husband read you a bedtime story 🤗

      3. 😂 He always tells me a lot of stories. That hasn’t worked. The tea sounds good. 😀

      4. Maybe listen to lullabies 🤗

  6. I’m glad you are seeing some of the more positive things that have happened in your life! For me the positives were doing things like art again, learning a new language and getting more time to work on/improve my blog.

    1. How many languages do you speak?

      1. Four fluently and I’m currently learning German. What about you?

      2. English, Portuguese and Spanish

      3. That’s really great! I’ve always wanted to learn Spanish and I picked up very little when I used to watch telenovelas haha.

      4. Telenovelas haha
There are other Spanish shows lol

      5. Lol but telenovelas are so dramatic and fun to watch! I may start watching them again actually 😂

      6. You should watch Jane the Virgin. It is on Netflix now. It is a comedy based on Telenovelas. 🙂

      7. I’ve actually been watching it for a while now! I’m on season 3 at the moment.

  7. Smiles. The shoe clause got me, big bro. 😀
Thanks to God for the new skills and additions. 😊
