A wonderful work is Hero Bands started by a survivor of child sex trafficking. I shared Elizabeth’s video last week. She survived being trafficked as a child and is now married with children.
She started making bands as a way to help her cope and it grew into a small business. She now has Hero Bands. A person can buy their own band that has a word on it like Strength or Hope.
Even better a person can buy a band for only $10 and the band is given to a child who has been freed from trafficking to wear. The band has the word Safe on it.
For every band sold, $2 is given to Underground Railroad an organization that rescues children from trafficking.
I bought a donated band that a child who has been rescued will be able to wear. I plan to buy a band for myself.
