“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Jesus spoke those words recorded in John 8; He came to our light in this life. He came to show us God. He came so we could be freed from the pitfalls of this life.
If life seems dark and hopeless, that is not from God. John also wrote in 1 John 1:5
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
With God there is hope, light, and love. He wants us to come to him when we are confused, depressed, anxious, struggling.
