In the midst of life’s problems, we can still express our gratitude to God. I love the message of Lydia Laird’s song Hallelujah Even Here. It expresses the truth that no matter what happens in this life we can still be thankful.

We can be thankful because God is always with us. We can be thankful because we have Jesus. We can be thankful because we have eternal life in Jesus.

I share these sentiments as a person who has been through many battles in life. Since I stepped out to follow Jesus’s call on my life, I have had health struggles, downtimes financially etc. We can be thankful because God is with us in the struggles.

    What a great song. I am reminded as I battle a pinched nerve in my lower back that causes sciatica down my right leg that I just need to sing. I start college today, and I am excited! I will not let pain defeat me. I am so glad to have the opportunity to go to college for free that I am thanking God for this distraction from the pain. At first, I thought the pain woulld prevent my going, but I had to view it in a differnt way, to endure. Lovely post.
