Abeny was my student many years ago in an evening ESL class. She is a refugee from Sudan, who is now a U.S. citizen. She wrote a book about her experience fleeing the war, searching for a safe place, and coming to the USA. The book is Tears of A Mother.

I won’t divulge anything from the book because if you buy it, I want you to experience her ordeal first hand through her book.

It is a quick read with only 93 pages, but the story is a powerful one. For some, it might be good to keep some tissues close by. I recommend her book because of how it gives a poignant insight into the refugee experience and the heart of a refugee mother crying out to Jesus.

On Amazon you can get it on Kindle, but if you purchase the paperback, it will help her a bit.

Thank you for reading. God bless.
