This morning I will meet with my friend from Venezuela to help her prepare for a test so she can enter Dental College here. She was a dentist in Venezuela and wants to become one here. It is a fun study session as we study but also joke with each other.
We started something else a few weeks ago. We study English for two hours and then she helps me practice Spanish for an hour. The student then becomes the teacher and the teacher then becomes the student. I bought a book in Spanish to practice reading.
Yes, it is a children’s book. That is either a reflection of my Spanish level, maturity level, or both. 🙂 Or it could be that I want to keep Spanish fun for me.
Unfortunately the tragedy of my coffee shop being closed continues, so my Saturday will not include hanging out there and going next door to to organic/natural food store to buy nachos made fresh in their deli.
But rest assured my blogging friends, there will be a power nap this afternoon. My bed has already notified me that it has placed a power nap on its Google Calendar.
