In my post yesterday, I shared a bit about my teen years and being a runaway on the streets. My upcoming book Lifted Out Of The Pit/Called To The Nations will go into more detail. Yes I have two upcoming books. I can definitely say that Jesus changed my life.
Just yesterday God gave me little reminders. My morning group at church was fun. I translated Portuguese to Spanish and Spanish to Portuguese and then joked my brain hurt. One of my Brazilian friend’s gave me some brigadeiro a homemade chocolate.
Worship service was wonderful with communion and baptisms and awesome worship songs.
After church my friend Luis from El Salvador went to lunch with me. I was planning to buy his lunch but he paid. Chicken fajitas hit the spot.
Teenage Matt would have never thought these things to be possible, but Jesus knew it would come to be. Jesus changes us and changes our lives. He loves us so much that he accepts us the way we are but loves us too much to leave us the way we are.
