The first time I heard Laura Bretan sing was when she sang an opera song on America’s Got Talent. Then I found out that she is a Christian and has sung worship music in church too. Her grandparents are from Romania which is a place special in my heart because it was through my seven trips there that Jesus called me to the work and ministry I have now.

I love her song Leave The Past. It is a wonderful reminder that we can leave the past where it belongs- in the past. As Christians, we are future oriented while living in the now. Our future eternal hope keeps us going while living in the here and now.

My past is only relevant if it helps someone as I share my testimony or part of my life experience to help someone know that I understand. Otherwise, it has no bearing on living for Jesus now and especially does not have any bearing on my eternal future with Jesus.

May this song bless you.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. This song, and your words, have touched my heart so much this Monday morning. I just sat and cried listening to this song. I love how you shared that the past is only relevant in sharing your testimony; it has no bearing on today’s relationship with Jesus. I’m a faithful fan of Jesus~now, a fan of this beautiful voice you shared. It’s angelic and rings with truth. Thank you, brother, for these words and music. I pray you have a blessed week as you continue living for Jesus! As will I!
