God can do awesome things in and through us in small rooms. Case in point, the upper room on the day of Pentecost when God the Father sent the Holy Spirit to begin indwelling those who believe in Jesus. After the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the apostles were heard speaking in other earthly foreign languages that they had not learned. It was a sign to those gathered and heard them in their own languages. It was quite the attention getter and lead in for Peter’s message that led to about 3,000 people trusting in Jesus.

On a much smaller scale, two rooms have been significant in my life, a prayer room in one church and a classroom in my home church.

In the early 1990s, a prayer room in the church I was going to at the time was like my second home. In that small prayer room, my relationship with Jesus grew. In that small prayer room, I was prepared for ministry, I did not want to leave that room, but would leave and experience wonderful ministry time.

In my home church now, I have a classroom I use for my weekend groups. People from all over the world have been in my weekend groups in that room. People from many countries have heard about Jesus and some have trusted in Jesus in that room. Currently people from Brazil, El Salvador, and Venezuela meet with me in the room.

There have been other rooms on a shorter term basis God has worked through during my ministry such as classrooms in Romania, France, and Brazil and a prison chapel in Mexico.

The accommodations may have varied in what resources have been available, but one resource has not varied and that is the power of God to do his work.

We do not look to lack of resources. We look to Jesus who has all power. There are no limitations to what Jesus can do.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
