It was so amazing to watch Wednesday evening as 92.003 people poured into the football stadium for the University of Nebraska to watch a Women’s Volleyball match. I loved that the young women on the team got the opportunity of a lifetime to break a world record for attendance of a Women’s Sporting event, play in the stadium the football team plays in, and do the tunnel walk. The tunnel walk is how the football team enters on game days.

It was a wonderful moment for Women’s Sports. I have watched the tunnel walk video several times. Just thinking about the inspiration little girls and teenage girls will get from it is so meaningful.

It caused me to reflect on the fact that Jesus bestowed a great honor on a woman. He permitted Mary Magdalene to be the first to see him after his resurrection and then gave her the assignment to go tell the men. It was culturally revolutionary in the sense that women could not be official witnesses at that time in that culture.

I hope this moment in Women’s Sports has a positive effect on the lives of girls everywhere as I found out that it made news in other countries as well as the USA.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
