As I stated in my book Jesus Understands Trauma, I plan to donate $1 for each book sold to a ministry or non-profit that helps people who experience trauma. I am doing so for both books Jesus Understands Trauma and Lifted Out of The Pit/Called to the Nations.
August saw thirty books sold combined, I donated the $30 to I’ve Got A Name which is a organization that works to free teenage girls and young women from sex trafficking in my city Lincoln and my state Nebraska. They also work to prevent it by educating teens and young women.
I will continue with donations to I’ve Got A Name as the one chosen for September.
Hopefully I can get Jesus Understands Trauma translated into Ukrainian and will donate from sales of that to a ministry helping the victims in Ukraine.
The reasons I am sharing about this in the blog are to be accountable with a commitment I made to donate and also raise awareness of different efforts to help those who suffer.
