God is not impressed with flowery prayers or theological words incorporated into prayer. What gets God’s attention is prayer from a broken spirit and a contrite heart. God wants us to be honest with him and wants us to depend on him. Faith is basically depending on God in any situation we face.
God knows our situation before we pray. He knows what we need. Jesus said in Matthew 6:8
“for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”
God is our Heavenly Father, so we come to him as his child in dependence on him.
