What is happening in Israel has been on my mind a lot lately. I realize that Israel is central in the end times before Jesus returns. The return of Jesus is exciting for me, but there is another side of it for me as to what is happening.
Innocent children have been kidnapped and held hostage. Innocent children have been beheaded. Women have been brutalized. People are dying from bombings. The human suffering is tragic and deeply saddening. The threat of the conflict widening concerns me.
It can leave one wondering what one can do. One thing I can do is to pray for the innocent victims to be freed, pray for peace, and pray for Israel. This may sound crazy, but I can also pray for the terrorists. Jesus taught us to pray for our enemies. Though they are not my enemies personally, it seems they still fit in with Jesus’s teaching to pray for them.
If we are indeed approaching the end times and the return of Jesus, one thing that is vitally important is to share the love of Jesus with others and to pray for them. I want everyone to be ready for the return of Jesus.
