It is Veteran’s Day today in the USA. I am thankful for those who served our country and fought for our freedom. The freedom we have enjoyed over the years in the USA have not been free of cost. Millions have served in the military starting with the Revolutionary War to be free from British control, to World War 2, to modern day.

Two bloggers I follow are veterans. Dawn of drawingclosertochrist.com and Temi of christianmommas.com. Dawn posts once a week now usually on Monday or Tuesday. Temi has not posted for a while probably because she is about to have her third child. I wish to thank Dawn and Temi for their service.

The USA is still free for now. It concerns me that there are forces at work to weaken America from within. I have enjoyed living in freedom all of my life, but I have many more years behind me than I do in front of me in this life. If Jesus tarries many more years, I wonder what America will be like for future generations. As Ronald Reagan once said:

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

  2. May we always be a grateful nation toward our veterans who have served, currently serve, and will serve. I have a permanent memory of seeing my maternal grandfather’s neatly pressed army uniform and proudly hanging in a basement closet.

  3. Thank you big brother! Ronald Reagan is the first president I was old enough to remember. I was in elementary school back then.

    1. Would you believe me if I told you he was President before I was born? haha
