At times living with chronic illness and the accompanying fatigue means I kind of just thud as in crash and burn for the day. Yesterday was such a day. After my morning class, I went to a coffee shop for a little while but realized it was time for a nap.

My nap? Well it ended up being four hours followed by sleeping eight hours last night. Thud is the only word I can think of to describe it.

This morning I got up, stopped by for a to go cold brew coffee, and came to church to meet friends who want to practice English. After my Friday thud, I feel ready for the weekend.

I realize Jesus took naps. He slept in a boat while the disciples were on the Sea of Galilee. Matthew 8:24

Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping

So I don’t think Jesus would begrudge me taking a four hour nap. 🙂

This afternoon will be time for a few errands and then watch a football game with friends this evening. Hopefully a little writing will get done too.

What’s on your agenda?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
