Gabriel’s reacted when Jesus was born. Looking down from heaven he exclaimed, “Amazing!!! I have to see this for myself.”

Coming down to the manger scene Gabriel shared his heart.

“This is incredible. He is here as a human baby now. I knew the plan because he sent me to talk with Mary about it. She was frightened when I appeared to her, but what teenage girl wouldn’t be afraid if an angel appears to them with a greeting like ‘Greetings Highly Favored One. When I told her the plan, in faith she accepted to become his mother even though she was still a virgin, But still, to see Jesus in her arms as a human baby in person, it is beyond words.”

“You haven’t seen him like I have. I have seen him on his throne in heaven in all of his glory. I have seen him tell me and my fellow angels what to do and we do it. I have seen him as he interacts with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. I know he has all power, but to see him as a human baby now is a wonder I had to see with my own eyes.”

“The love he has for you human beings is beyond comprehension for us angels. We long to understand it. We are his servants, but you humans are the ones he wants to call his child, so here he is, a human baby. I have watched sin destroy lives and yet God still loves them. There will be no provision for the angels who rebelled. They will only know doom. But for you humans, here he is”

“He is here to grow to become a man for one purpose. He is here to die for your sins, so you can be forgiven by God. He is here to become your Savior, so you can have eternal life with him. This is how deep his love is for you that he would leave his throne in heaven and become a human baby in this extremely humble setting.”

“I hope you appreciate what he has done and what he is going to do to become your Savior.”

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  6. Wow, that’s true. The opportunity to be forgiven that has been given to us wasn’t given to the angels that rebelled. I have a feeling I might use that soon when I talk to someone who’s been playing with those fallen angels. :/

    1. Angels are servants but cannot be called what Jesus calls those of us who believe in him. Jesus calls us friends. God the Father calls us his children because of Jesus.

  7. I love this fresh angle, Matt. Thank you. Have a blessed Christmas season.
