If someone had told me three years ago that I would publish two books and start on a third, I would have thought they were crazy. I would have been quite skeptical to say the least. But what started in 2022 in writing my book Jesus Understands Trauma, developed into two books thanks to input from fellow bloggers and the 2nd book Lifted Out of the Pit/Called to the Nations also came to fruition.

God connected me with someone from my church who designed the book covers for both books and could help me navigate self publishing on Amazon. My pastor read my first draft Jesus Understands Trauma and gave some input. One thing I have not shared before was the reason for the delay in publishing.

I was hesitant to publish because I was not sure if I wanted to share so much personal info from my past. But 2nd Corinthians 1:3-4 kept coming to mind.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

So finally I published the books and it has led to ministry opportunities and to people experiencing healing in their lives, so I am thankful God did not give up on me regarding the book.

The next book Encounters With The Ancients is close to being ready to publish. Look for it in January. It will be a collection of short fiction stories about modern day people having encounters with someone from the bible that God sends from heaven to have a conversation along with a storyteller weaving them together.

That will be Book 1 in a series because thanks to comments from fellow bloggers on my Christmas themed posts; The Angel Gabriel’s Reaction to the Birth of Jesus,The First Christmas from an Elderly Man’s Perspective, An Elderly Woman’s Reaction to Seeing Jesus As A Baby, and Message From The Man Who Wrote About Immanuel -God With Us, ideas for two more books are bouncing around in my mind.

All of that transpired in writing this past year was something I did not really anticipate in December last year. I am thankful for the help Jesus provided through others in the process.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
