Last year ended with communion service at my church and also joining my Ukrainian friends in the afternoon. This year started by having communion with the leadership at the Ukrainian church. I woke up this morning realizing the focus on the end of one year and the start of a new one was on the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf.
Keeping focus on Jesus is the best way to start a year for me. One never knows what will transpire during a year, but knowing that according to Hebrews 13:8, Jesus stays the same no matter what happens.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Not to dredge up unpleasant memories, but January 2020 is a prime example of not knowing what will transpire as we go through a year. For me, it is also a great example of how no matter what happens, Jesus is with us and will never leave us.
I have a few more days of Christmas break, so I hope to make the most of them by finishing my upcoming book, Encounters With The Ancients, by going to Norfolk Nebraska for a special outreach evening for Ukrainians living there, and by of course worship services on Sunday.
But I will also enjoy no alarm clock days. 🙂
How was your New Year’s?
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
