Guess where I am at the moment. I am sitting at my home desk for the first time since March 10th. Starting to make some headway in this whole recovery thing.

Speaking of making headway, I spent five hours out and about with Ukrainian friends today. My friend Alekseyi picked me up to go for lunch with two visiting pastors from Ukraine. We went to a barbecue restaurant. We had fun over lunch getting to know each other and of course eating barbecue.

After lunch, we went to Alekseyi’s home. Ruslana, his wife had cooked some borscht, so the four men who were already stuffed from barbecue, ate some more. I did not eat anything else until later this evening.

The best part of our afternoon together was out time sharing and praying. We were joined by a married couple from Ukraine who just moved to Lincoln from Missouri. During our time of fellowship. I shared with them from my book Jesus Understands Trauma about a few points. Jesus was a refugee and Jesus lived in a country occupied by soldiers from another country.

Then we spent time praying for the two visiting pastors and their families and for the married couple who just moved here. Then they prayed for me and my recovery. It was the absolute best afternoon I have had since before my surgery.

Tomorrow I will be back in the classroom and still have physical therapy in the afternoon. My cup has been refilled and I am ready for a new quarter of classes. Also this week, it will finally be time to catch up with my fellow bloggers.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
