My friend Alekseyi has his English class the same time as mine at the college, so we ride together since I still cannot drive. After class, we came to my coffee shop. He will go to his physical therapy and then come back and take me home.
I needed this time at the coffee shop. It is a bit of an oasis for me. Just to get out to some sense of normalcy feels good after hearing the news of needing a second surgery. That news came just as I was dealing with the sticker shock of the bills from my first surgery.

It seems as if many things are hitting all at once just as plans are being made for a new venture in ministry for me.
After talking with my pastor and the counseling pastor at my church, the plan is for me to teach a class based on the biblical truths I wrote about in my book Jesus Understands Trauma. It will be later in May. First we will make a video to intro it to show during worship. Alekseyi wants me to do a translated podcast in Russian and Ukrainian about the book too.

So keep putting one foot in front of the other- as best a guy with knee issues can, keep focus on Jesus, and keep sharing the love of Jesus.
For now, in this moment, time to enjoy coffee.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
