Elijah the great prophet was dismayed, discouraged and depressed at one point. While he was fleeing from the queen and king, he stopped to sleep under a tree. God sent an angel to wake him up and feed him. Elijah slept some more and the angel came a second time. Then Elijah went on to have his encounter with God.

Yesterday I was trying to start my day but had nowhere to go, no plans for the holiday. I had just had a full day of ministry at both my home church and New Breath the Ukrainian church on Sunday. I started to listen to worship music on Youtube and fell asleep. The worship music kept playing throughout my unplanned four hour nap.
My pastor says sometimes the most spiritual thing to do is take a nap. Jesus took a nap in the boat and a storm came. The storm did not wake him up, but the disciples did out of fear. Jesus woke up and said three little words- Peace be still, and the storm stopped.
In the midst of turmoil, Elijah slept, Jesus slept, and perhaps I slept while the worship music played. I needed it. So today I am back to writing a blog post, responded to comments after a long hiatus of doing so, and hopefully will catch up with fellow bloggers.

So now I have two t-shirts I need to get, the first one will say Language Nerd for Jesus suggested by Gary of garyfultz.com and the other Jesus Took Naps. 🙂
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
