Here I am sitting at my coffee shop, preparing to do some writing and yet wondering if I might lose my credentials as your coffee coach. I am actually drinking a Moroccan Mint Iced Tea. In my defense, it is already a hot and humid day here. The heatwave has struck, which is nothing unusual in Nebraska this time of year. Rest assured, I will have an iced coffee next, black.

I am thinking about Alicia of forhispurpose.blog today because I saw on the news that mountain lions have been spotted out in her neck of the woods in the western part of my state. I wonder if her goats will be okay.

When a heat wave comes, the coffee shop becomes more appealing to me, sitting in air conditioning, writing, blogging, and greeting fellow teachers who are on their summer break. So far, I have not spotted any yet. 🙂

Okay so here is my big news of the day. I am using a cane not a walker. Progress is being made. Perhaps by the end of summer, I will walk with no cane. I hope so because I would love to go on another missions trip in the future.

This morning was a wonderful time with Jesus as I listened to worship music while praying. It makes such a difference for me to spend time with Jesus to start my day.

How is your day?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  2. My Thursday has been good as I am getting better from being sick and hurting. The tea sounds delicious, especially on such a hot day! Praying all goes well with the goats for our fellow blogger.

      Praying for you

  3. I’m so happy that you’re there in your coffee shop and that you have graduated to a cane!! Your tea sounds perfect and delicious. It’s very hot here, too – 98 and feels like 106. UGH!! Our old van has developed a leak so on our way to Meals on Wheels, Aaron and I had to turn around a go home. My husband followed us to the shop, where now it’s being repaired. Aaron was sad about no Meals on Wheels but lunch at Chili’s helped him. :). God was kind to protect us. Blessings, Matt.

    1. sorry about your van and Aaron missing out on Meals on Wheels. I know he loves it and seeing his friends you deliver to

  6. Congratulations on your improvement to a cane! Praying you will continue to improve to be able to be back to your normal! It is great to embrace the ordinary day to day purpose in your life!

    1. Thank you Karen. How are you today?

  7. That is an interesting question since I guess I am recuperating from the week since I am just tired with sinus congestion issues and a blah feeling! It is too hot to get outside since it is 90 degrees with the humidity heating you the minute you step outside! I guess the only positive is that is Friday!

  8. Happy to know you are improving. I pray that you will grow from strength to strength.

    1. Thank you little sister 🙂
