Yesterday was my first session returning to physical therapy. I am going to a different clinic than the prior one because it is closer to my place. My new PT is fun to interact with.

For some reason, my therapist felt it necessary to repeat many times that I should keep wearing my leg brace for now and not to push things too much. Not sure why he felt he needed to repeat that so much. 🙂

The clinic is five blocks from my place, so I walked, SLOWLY, home from my session. I think that may have pushed things a bit, but I miss enjoying walks.

My goals are to be able to go for my walks again, be able to travel again, and to be more mobile. It may surprise you but running a marathon is not one of my goals.

I put a sticker on my cane. It is one word- FAITH. It reminds me to keep my focus on Jesus as I go through this. It has been 99 days since my first surgery, so it would be easy to feel like giving up, but we press on with Jesus.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Had to repeat himself? haha

  2. I’m wondering what percentage of people actually obey their therapists??? thus the constant reminds hoping something will stick. I know my facial expressions are often misread when I get therapist’s orders.

    1. Would you believe I always obey my therapists?

      1. I need to ponder my answer Matt…probably

      2. lol let me know haha

  3. Just keep the Faith and you can reach your goals with His strength!

  4. Love the idea of adding an affirmation to your walking stick… I have chronic migraine and have toyed with the idea of getting a similar word tattooed somewhere I can see it when I’m in the midst of an attack… but I don’t want to be with this pain forever, so instead I put up postcard-sized mantras and I made myself a healing mandala I use everywhere (such as here when I comment). Good luck and best wishes, always, Linda xox
