My physical therapist uses a phrase when she wants to introduce something new. She likes to say, “let’s try” or “I have something new for us to try.” So my last session when she said, “let’s try” I joked that let’s means me not including her. When she says let’s, she means me.

In contrast, when Jesus says let’s, he means he will do it and include us. He gives us the ability, the power, to do what he calls us to do. Jesus does not leave us to ourselves.

When Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

he invited us to join him and receive him as our active partner in life.

1st Corinthians 15:57 says in reference to the resurrection of Jesus and that he will share that with us.

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The victory belongs to Jesus and he gladly out of love shares that victory with us.

I will keep these truths in mind when I go to physical therapy this afternoon.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
