The physical therapy clinic I go to is about six blocks from where I live. Yesterday after my PT session, I walked home. It took me 30 minutes to walk only six blocks, but I’ll take it as a sign of progress. When I got home, I iced down my knee.

As I was walking, I had to watch each step watching for possible problems that could trip me up. As I was walking, I also took some time to pray. The experience made me think about walking with Jesus in life.
As I walk with Jesus in life, there are problems to watch out for such as temptations, distractions, and things that would trap a person. As I was walking, I kept focus on getting home safely. By praying while I was walking it kept my focus on Jesus, which brings me to my devotional verses for the day Hebrews 12:1-2.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
It is vital for me to keep my eyes focused on Jesus in this life, seek his guidance, and listen to his voice.
Yesterday was no race for me. It was more of SLOW walk. But the time praying was worthwhile. I am thankful I could have my short distance walk even though it took me 30 minutes.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
