This morning was a good example of my life with other cultures here in Lincoln as I spent time with people from diverse cultures in one way or another.

I had a dermatology appointment and the Medical Assistant was a young woman from Ukraine. It was her first name that let me know she was from Ukraine. I greeted her in Ukrainian and talked about some of my Ukrainian friends.

After my appointment, I took an Uber to go teach my class due to not being able to drive yet. My Uber driver was a man from Iran. We had a nice chat along the way to the church where I teach a Welcome Class for new refugees.

In my Welcome Class for newcomer refugees, I had students from Afghanistan, Iraq and Ukraine. We had fun talking about fruit and vegetables. My friend Pastor Alekseyi drives the van for the Literacy Council that provides the class. Alekseyi invited me to come to his house for barbecue to celebrate his son’s birthday. So my day will wind up with my Ukrainian family.

I feel beyond blessed that Jesus has called me to share him and his love with people from all over the world living in my city. It still amazes me that he called me to it and equipped for it.

How is you Friday?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Wow! Looks like the Lord is steering the wheel, temporarily, as you meet and greet others – who believe that they are in the driver’s seat.😂 But He is using you, even in your own physical weakness to win souls for Christ🔥

    1. Jesus is always at work

      1. Amen! Vroom 🏎️ Vroom
