Having spent so much time with people from diverse cultures/languages, one thing that my ear is attuned to is different accents. I tend to pick up on even a slight accent.

Case in point Thursday morning, I went to have a blood test done. By the way I should be an optimist because my blood type is B Positive but I digress.
The young lady drawing my blood had a slight southern accent, so I asked where she was from. She seemed a bit surprised that I picked up on her accent, but we had a nice short chat from which I found out she is from South Carolina.
Having been around students and friends from so many cultures/languages over the years, I also tend to automatically compensate for their pronunciation problems as they speak English. It similar to a parent listening to their young child and understanding what they are trying to say.
God understands us when we seek to pray. He knows all languages and understands us as we pray. He knows our hearts and what we are trying to say. I love what Romans 8:26-27 says.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
This can free us up express ourselves in prayer and not worry about saying the right words trying to sound theologically correct. When we pray, we are talking to Abba Father.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
