School starts for children in my city next week. That will make for a fun day for me tomorrow as I interact with children and teens at my church and at New Breath church.

Each Sunday the past few weeks, it has been fun to ask if they are excited because school will start. It is fun to see them laugh as they tell me they are not excited.
The first episode of The Chosen shows Jesus interacting with children enjoying spending time with them. I can easily envision Jesus enjoying being with children.
In Matthew 19 we read about Jesus blessing children.
Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.
Jesus blessed the children. He wants children to come to him and not be hindered from coming to him. He is very approachable for children.
I want the children at New Breath to feel I am approachable. They know me as the American who helps the church and who preaches there often. They also know I am a teacher. Most importantly, they know me as someone who is their friend.
Their lives have been turned upside down through the turmoil of war and coming to a new country. I want them to feel I am approachable because I want them to feel they have an American friend they can talk with if they have problems in their new country/culture.
I am looking forward to joking with my young friends tomorrow because I am looking forward to seeing them smile and laugh as I interact with them.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
