Herry of herrychiccounsels.com shared a post yesterday about writing and Psalm 45:1. Her post is A Ready Writer.

In her post she shared about writing for God which prompted me to reflect on something. Psalm 45:1 says

My heart is stirred by a noble theme
    as I recite my verses for the king;
    my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

What I reflected on is why I write. For me writing can be an act of worship seeking to glorify Jesus. My desire is to honor Jesus through my writing. As Colossians 3:17 says

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Many of my blog posts are written while listening to worship music and spending time in prayer, so I feel such posts are part of my devotional time.

I am writing this post as I listen to worship music preparing for my day on a Sunday morning getting ready for church.

Just wanted to share a thought I have been reflecting on.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. This is great!
    And I can relate – I tend to write a lot during my time-out with God as well. 😊

    Reminds me of how His deep calls out the deep within us. Such bliss that comes from fellowshiping with Him. 🙌🏼😊

    1. The deep deep love of Jesus 🙂
