Julia is a young mother I know from New Breath the Ukrainian church I have been helping. She grew up here in my city with both of her parents immigrating here over twenty years ago.

Julia got married and her and her husband were excitedly awaiting the birth of their son. But when Julia was six months pregnant, tragedy struck. Her husband was killed in a car accident. Julia became a widow at a young age.
Through the hardship, she kept her faith in Jesus and was helped by her family. She wanted to make a future for her and her now six year old son, so she started Nursing School.
A few Sundays ago, she shared with me that she was nervous about her first practicum in the intensive care unit at a local hospital. So we prayed about it.
This past Sunday, I saw her and asked her how her first night in her practicum went. She was beaming as she shared with me how nice and helpful the nurses were and that the night went well and she learned a lot.
Julia is a wonderful example of faith persevering through hardship.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
