It feels like I have been an accidental church planter, but I know with Jesus, there is no such thing as accidental or coincidental.
Sunday afternoon at New Breath, they chose their Elders and prayed over them. They also read the statement of faith. God has brought his people over the past year for worship ministry, youth ministry, and children’s ministry and now Elders for church leadership.

It all began with feeling led by Jesus to volunteer to provide English classes for Ukrainian refugees. The first Saturday of class I met Alekseyi and his wife Ruslana. I got to know them and over the months and after praying with them, realized it was time to start a church. It has been almost a year since the first worship service.
The reason I say it feels like I have been an accidental church planter is because I had no idea this all would happen. I only felt led to offer classes, but had no plan or strategy for helping a church get started. It unfolded by the leading and grace of God.
Now my role will be more of an advisory role. I will still go to their worship service a few Sundays a month, but it will be in a different role.
I am so grateful for what Jesus has done and continues to do for my friends at New Breath and grateful I could be a part of it.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
