Late September in Nebraska can bring sudden changes. Today is another hot summer day. That means iced coffee at the coffee shop. 🙂

Tomorrow will bring thunderstorms. Sunday will be a nice cool fall day for the first day of fall. Are you ready for fall? Or as my friend Manu of The Faith Food will experience in Australia, the first day of spring.

I did not need a weather report to know big changes are coming. Living with psoriatic arthritis means my joints let me know when sudden changes are about to happen.

Sudden changes in life can be disconcerting. They can cause one to feel disoriented, confused, and worried. Even positive ones can cause a bit of stress.

I have experienced so many sudden changes in life while living for Jesus, about health, finances, and more. What keeps me from going under in life? One word- Jesus.

Jesus is my one constant in a sea of changes in life. He is the rock, solid rock, we can stand on. Hebrews 13:8 says:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

My joints aside, I am looking forward to cooler fall weather. This weekend will mean meeting with friends tomorrow, church Sunday morning, lunch with friends, and then joining New Breath church in the afternoon.

What will your weekend bring?

  7. We endured summer’s final blast of heat over the weekend. My wife and I enjoyed a Saturday morning walk at a nearby mall before taking care of our favorite English lab, Sadie. We were blessed to watch the Buckeyes football game on our daughter’s big screen TV.

    1. Sounds like a good weekend for you. I am grateful it was summer’s final blast

      1. After nearly four months with very little rain, today rain is falling. Praising God.
