Friday afternoon so I am sure it will come as a surprise I am relaxing and blogging at my coffee shop. 🙂

I do enjoy my times at the coffee shop, but something much more significant this morning was teaching the Welcome Class for Newcomer Refugees. For them, I am their first teacher in America. It is a very basic English class, but more importantly it gives them a friendly face in their first weeks while they begin to adjust to a new country/culture.

Each Friday morning, my prayer is for Jesus to help me be a blessing for my students. This morning my students were from Afghanistan, Burma, Sudan and Ukraine. So as I pray for help to be a blessing, I am praying to Jesus who is the Savior for all who will receive him. That is always in the forefront of my thoughts.

Ahh Fridays. A time for me to chill out at the coffee shop. Still not driving yet, but the bus comes close to the coffee shop and close to my home. So doing a bit of walking justifies me indulging in a sweet treat here, don’t you think?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
