Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!
I received this notification yesterday. I was not sure about sharing it because I’ve lost so many fellow bloggers to interact with over the past year or two. Many of the ones I interacted with frequently have quit blogging or slowed way down.
But it is a milestone nevertheless. What began as a way to share bible teaching with people I met from other countries while they were here and went back, grew to be much more. My blog will always have an emphasis on Jesus and sharing his love.
I am so thankful for the support my fellow bloggers have given me in prayer and other ways for my ministry more recently helping Ukrainian refugees.
Changes in the blogosphere have taken place beside many stopping. Anyone remember the plethora of “blogging awards” that used to get shared? There used to those tags too as in Favorite Tags when a blogger would list favorite things about something like a holiday and tag other bloggers by listing the name of the blogs. Those seem to be long gone too.
WP has changed too much in my mind. I miss WP classic. It was streamlined and user friendly. Now WP makes changes monthly it seems and most times with no warning.
It is not all doom and gloom. I still enjoy connecting with people from all over the world. I still enjoy reading various posts and commenting on them. Even the food posts sharing recipes that I torture myself with knowing I could never cook them but still like looking at the pictures. 🙂
So here’s to another year of blogging.
Thank you for reading.
