Woke up to a cloudy morning which makes me feel thankful because of what it means for me. It will be a cloudy rainy day here, which makes for a perfect nap day. Yes, I woke up thankful that later today I can take a nap. It is the little things in life isn’t it?
During class with my newcomer refugee students, it is the little things that show me they are beginning to adjust a little and learn a little. When we learn the words for colors and point to things with that color, I point to my beard and say black. When they laugh and say no, I know they are catching on.

Jesus noticed things during his earthly life that others did not. One day Jesus spotted Zaccheus in a tree. We find the account in Luke 19.
Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”
But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”
Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Jesus noticing Zaccheus, who others would have either overlooked or ignored due to him being a tax collector, led to Zaccheus having a change of heart on how he was living and to his salvation.
Dear reader, you are never overlooked by Jesus. He sees you. He notices you.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
