Not quite ready to jump into Christmas season, but here is a retrospective of Thanksgiving Day.

My friends Alekseyi and Ruslana invited me for Thanksgiving Dinner. It was a time of fellowship and food. We started by going around a circle sharing what we are thankful for. Their son David, who is in third grade, translated into English for the time.

Ruslana had never cooked turkey before she came the to USA and yet, she can cook it so it is moist not dry. There was no need to any grave. However, she made a cranberry sauce that was quite tasty to eat with the turkey.

I am so thankful God allowed me to meet them and all of my Ukrainian friends. My Sundays might be long days with conversation group at my church, worship at my church, lunch with Hispanic friends, and then afternoon worship with Ukrainian friends, but my Sundays are full of blessings.

Now I am at New Breath Church and I made a pot of coffee. Alekseyi told me, “it is strong.” Strong coffee just the way I like it. 🙂 We will see what others say.

Hope your Sunday is blessed.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

What did you have for Thanksgiving Dinner?

  2. Hello, brother, and my friends here!
How wonderful, Matt. I’m so happy you had a wonderful (and yummy) Thanksgiving dinner with blessed friends. You’re a blessing to them as they see to you~ I know it!
This morning I was able to attend early service (it’s been a while since my follow up and my Dad’s health). I walked in and someone offered coffee. Sip sip hooray to coffee and even more, the freedom to worship and be around so many imperfect people, like me, singing our praise to God as we begin this season celebrating the birth of his son! Advent~adventure~ may God keep blessing us all. It’s such a joy to be here and hear how he’s working in your lives, big brother!🙏🏻

    1. coffee and church are a winning combination 🙂
Praying for you little sister. How are you?

      1. Yay! Yes! I’m sorry I’m late, brother. I’m working again–and playing “catch up” on days “off”. Yesterday was interesting. Two drs and a disagreement on how to proceed with my treatments–TODAY. It took prayer, intentional bridge building through emails and conversations with others in my support group, to come up with solutions. I’m off to the cancer center again for treatments beginning today. I’ve been in John 11, big brother. I believe! I have nothing to fear! I pray YOU are well, too. Thank you for your prayers and support. Many blessings and prayers to you. 🙏🙏🥰

      2. The realm of doctors, different doctors, appts etc, can make one feel like a pinball patient. I actually wrote a few blog posts about that.

      3. I remember that one, I think. Yes, you get it!!
