How would we announce the biggest news of all time? We would probably use X, Facebook, YouTube, Podcasts, Radio, TV, Instagram, a complete, total media blitz.
We would probably involve the most important people to know and have an official announcement from the Oval Office from whoever the President of the United States is.
We would to things in such a grand manner as to leave no doubt of hat was happening.
How did God arrange to let the world know about the birth of Jesus, the Savior of the world? He had angels appear to lowly shepherds tending their sheep. He had a star appear in the sky to cause a few wisemen to seek Jesus out.
God chose a humble teen girl, Mary, to be the mother of Jesus and of course God being a gentlemen, did so with her permission. When Joseph her fiance had his doubts, God had an angel appear to Joseph in a dream to verify Jesus was indeed from God via the Holy Spirit.
God’s ways are not our ways. The first advent, coming, of Jesus was done in very humble ways.
However, by contrast, the second advent, coming, of Jesus will not be humble by any means. It will happen in a way that leaves absolutely no doubt. The whole world will know. The question is whether we are ready for his second coming. We can be prepared by placing our faith in Jesus.
