Romans 8:37-39- “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

During the time I was struggling with my first autoimmune issue and it looked like I might die, at times it seemed like I was surrounded by darkness. But Jesus used a song to remind me that he was with me in the struggle.

One time while I was praying and listening to worship music, I was listening to Immanuel by Michael Card. As I was listening, it felt like I was in God’s presence for hours lost in his presence, lost in time. But it is only a four minute song.

The song helped me keep going during that time. Immanuel-God with Us. The hope and promise of Christmas is that God came to us in Jesus, lived in this life, suffered in many ways as we do, and became our Savior.

That is what Christmas is truly all about.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
