It was one year ago yesterday that I went to a surgical hospital to have knee replacement surgery. I had heard from others about how they felt so much better after they recovered from the surgery, so my expectation was to experience a lot of improvement.

Turns out I was wrong, very wrong, in that expectation. What followed was the need for a second surgery, 21 weeks of physical therapy, and the continued need for a cane.

Yesterday I walked one mile. So that is a good development being able to walk further. But I do not foresee a marathon in my future. 🙂

God’s people really stepped up to help- no pun intended. So many rides have been given, food dropped off in the intial weeks, help with medical bills, and prayers prayed.

So to commemorate the one year anniversary of the start of it all, I will go to my coffee shop with my friend Todd and we will solve many problems in the world over coffee if only people would listen. 🙂

I am thankful to Jesus for carrying me through this past year.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
