Jesus took on the thing we fear most, death, and defeated it. Jesus is alive. He is Risen. His body is not in the tomb. He is Risen and is seated on his throne in heaven. One day in the future he will return.
The resurrection of Jesus means that one day he will share that victory over death with all who trust in him and know him as their Savior. Not only can we go to heaven when we die, but one day our bodies will be resurrected into glorified bodies just as Jesus’s was.
Happy Resurrection Day, Easter, to all of my readers. It is my favorite holiday because it is a time of celebration.
